[ICS-2450] Call for expression of interest for one (1) position for a full time in Health-related sector (Health Data Systems Full Stuck Developer) in the Institute of Computer Science (ICS) Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH)
The candidate will contribute to the development and evolution of critical information systems, ensuring smooth operation, security, and compliance with modern software development principles. They will implement and maintain backend services and REST APIs in .NET / ASP.NET Core, following clean architecture and clean code practices. At the same time, they will design and optimize data access layers in SQL Server or Oracle, utilizing SQL and ORM techniques such as EF Core and Dapper. You will develop front-end features with React, Blazor, or Razor Pages with Bootstrap, ensuring responsive and user-friendly interfaces. You will analyze technical issues, propose architectural improvements, and contribute to the continuous optimization of systems. In addition, you will implement secure coding practices, implementing authentication/authorization infrastructures such as JWT, OAuth2, and OpenID Connect in accordance with OWASP guidelines. Finally, you will participate in testing processes through unit and integration tests, ensuring the reliability and stable operation of applications.Individual tasks will include: • Publications • Honors and awards • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex ideas both orally and in writing. Prior experience in the field, development and maintenance of high-scale and high-availability applications using modern front-end and back-end technologies. Development of applications in cloud environments, mainly Azure, utilizing services such as App Services, Azure SQL, Functions, and Key Vault for secure and efficient operation. Implementation of containerization technologies such as Docker for flexible development and management of environments. Participation in DevOps processes, using Git workflows and CI/CD pipelines, ideally in Azure DevOps or equivalent tools. Collaboration in Agile environments, following Scrum processes and modern software development methodologies. Ensuring application security, performance, and maintainability through the application of best practices and clean code principles. Participating in application testing and validation, supporting unit and integration tests, and contributing to the continuous improvement of the team's systems and expertise.
