We seek a highly motivated member to join our team with a background in the areas of website and platform development. The selected candidate will participate in the Research and development activities of ICS-FORTH in the context of the Horizon Europe project “NextGEM: Next Generation Integrated Sensing and Analytical System for Monitoring and Assessing Radiofrequency Electromagnetic Field Exposure and Health”, funded under Horizon Europe, HORIZON-HLTH-2021-ENVHLTH-02-01-Exposure to electromagnetic fields (EMF) and health. The selected candidate will work on the design and development of the NextGEM Innovation and Knowledge Hub. The researcher will be responsible for advancing AI-driven situational awareness and decision making frameworks by combining multi-modal data processing, generative AI, and simulation-driven model evaluation across the three projects.

We seek one Computer Scientist or Engineer, Msc holder in Autonomous Robotic Systems with background in RTD projects. The candidate will participate in the R&D activities of FORTH-ICS in the context of EDF-2021-DIGIT-R-2 project “KOIOS – Knowledge Extraction, Machine Learning and other AI approaches for secure, robust, frugal and explainable solutions in Defence Applications” (EDF-2021-DIGIT-R-2-101103770-KOIOS), funded under EDF-2021-DIGIT-R-2, and will work on Navigation of advanced autonomous vehicles related aspects. The main objective of our project, KOIOS, is to develop new AI-based methods that are trustworthy (under human control and explainable), robust (resilient to attacks) and frugal in the use of resources (data, computing capabilities, energy,…) addressing tasks in a more efficient manner than the current state-of-the-art ML/DL methods while maintaining similar performance, and improving resilience (for adversarial attacks), consistent behaviour and limiting the cognitive and technical efforts when adapting to new data or dynamic contexts. The candidate will contribute in tasks regarding the design of the advanced navigational capabilities of autonomous vehicles.
