The candidate will participate in the R&D work of FORTH within the ProCAncer‐I project. We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to be part of the team designing, implementing and testing a number of applications managing personal information of patients regarding Prostate Cancer diagnosis and prognosis, by utilizing big data, data analytics and machine‐learning models. The candidate will design and implement a framework enabling efficient and effective data mining and machine learning techniques for heterogeneous and multi‐scale personal health data. The candidate will also be involved in activities related to the FAIRification of personal health Data.

[ICS-1659] Call for expression of interest for one (1) position of an Engineer of Computer Science or Engineering Department, in the Institute of Computer Science (ICS) Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH)

We seek one (1) software engineer for our team, to participate in the R&D activities of FORTH in the context of the project EUROCC: “National Competence Centres in the framework of EuroHPC ”. The EUROCC project aims to elevate the participating countries to a common high level in the fields of HPC, HPDA and artificial intelligence (AI). To this end, the EuroCC project will establish a network of National Competence Centres (NCCs), which will be responsible for surveying and documenting the core HPC, HPDA, and AI activities and competencies in their respective countries. All of this to support and increase the national strengths of High Performance Computing (HPC) competences as well as High Performance Data Analytics (HPDA) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities and to close existing gaps to increase usability of these technologies in the different states and thus provide a European excellence baseline.

[ICS-1658] Call for expression of interest for two (2) positions, one (1) Electrical and Computer Engineering Post-Doctoral fellow and one (1) MSc holder in Pervasive Computing Systems

We seek two experienced members for our team, at the postgraduate level. The candidates will participate in the R&D activities of FORTH in the context of the project “5G ExPerimentation Infrastructure hosting Cloud-nativE Netapps for public proTection and disaster Relief” (5G-EPICENTRE), funded under Horizon 2020, ICT-41-2020, 5G PPP – 5G innovations for verticals with third party services. 5G-EPICENTRE is coordinated by AIRBUS DS SLC and FORTH-ICS is a member of the project consortium. The project aims to deliver an open end-to-end experimentation 5G platform focusing on software solutions that serve the needs of PPDR. The envisioned platform will enable SMEs and developers to acquire knowledge with regard to the latest 5G applications and approaches for first responders and crisis management, as well as to build up and experiment with their solutions. The 5G-EPICENTRE platform will be based on an open Service oriented Architecture, following the current best DevOps practices (containerization of micro-services) and will be able to accommodate and provide open access to 5G networks’ resources, acting this way as a 5G open source repository for PPDR NetApps.
