Today, Tuesday, February 7, 2012, Safer Internet Day is internationally celebrated. The
slogan of this year's celebration "Discover the digital world together ... safely!" refers to the
convergence of generations, indicating the urgent need for all of us to familiarize ourselves
with the Internet, in order to be able to protect our children from the pitfalls effectively,
giving them at the same time all the skills needed to surf online in a responsible and safe
manner. The celebration includes several events taking place in schools, institutions and
local organizations and they have responded to the call of the Greek Awareness Centre
