I will talk about the Turing Institute, the UK's national institute for Data Science and AI.
This has been running for 3 years now, and consists of 10 strategic programmes and partners, including the UK NHS, HSBC, Intel, and others, together with 13 Universities, starting with Cambridge, Edinburgh, Oxford, UCL and Warwick. There are around 300 researchers involved at any time across a wide variety of fundamental and applied problems, and in this seminar, I'll describe how we've managed this, and how we map the work and evolution of the intstitute (by using machine learning on ourselves!).
