[ICS-968] Junior Research Positions in Scalable Storage Systems
Two junior R&D positions in the area of storage systems are available in the CARV Laboratory of the Institute of Computer Science (ICS), Foundation for Research and Technology - Hellas (FORTH), Heraklion, Greece (http://www.ics.forth.gr). The area of storage systems is currently under significant change due to changes in underlying technologies that open exciting possibilities. Candidates should typically be pre-PhD researchers or engineers. The ideal candidates would hold a Master's in computer science, computer engineering or related field, would have developed familiarity in computer systems and computer architecture, and good systems building skills in low-level systems software (e.g. kernel modules, network protocols, file-systems, block-level storage systems, controller firmware). The duration of the appointment is 1 year with possibility of extending to 3 years. Applications for smaller periods will also be considered.
