[ICS-1641] One (1) position of PhD Student for deep learning and machine learning models with application in medical imaging within the ProCancer-I project

The candidate will participate in the R&D work of FORTH within the ProCAncer-I project. We are looking for a PhD Student to be part of the team designing, implementing and testing a number of algorithmic approaches regarding Prostate Cancer diagnosis and prognosis, by utilizing big data, data analytics and deep learning and machine-learning models. Also, the candidate will need to develop solutions for data augmentation to increase the robustness of the proposed solutions.

[ICS-1637] One (1) position of a MSc holder in Computer Science / Computer Engineering in the context of the contract between ICS-FORTH and Germanisches Nationalmuseum Nürnberg (GNM)

We seek one experienced member for our team, and specifically an MSc holder in Computer Science / Computer Engineering, with background in European RTD Projects. The candidate will participate in the R&D activities of FORTH-ICS in the context of the contract between ICS-FORTH and Germanisches Nationalmuseum Nürnberg (GNM), under the name “Extension of “DMS-OVS” software to integrate and support the “Prints and Drawings” department’s data and workflows and the implementation of a collaboration mechanism with WissKI – VRE installations”. The main work will include (a) the integration and migration of the already existing data of the Prints & Drawings department, created and managed for more than two decades in a Hilda/Midas database, (b) the support-integration within the DMS-OVS, of the specific workflows followed by the Prints & Drawings department along with their relevant data that was mainly maintained in analog means i.e. physical Accession Books following a different workflow compared to the rest of the departments and finally (c) the implementation of a data exchange mechanism among DMS-OVS and WissKI system for the communication support of DMS-OVS with the scholarly object documentation data produced in project specific WissKI – VRE installations.
