[ICS-2506] Call for expression of interest in one (1) position of HPC Research and Development Engineer, at the Institute of Computer Science (ICS)- (FORTH)
We seek one (1) HPC R&D Engineer for our team. The candidates should have proven experience with HPC architectures with strong background in MPI and performance analysis. The candidate will participate in the R&D activities of FORTH in the context of the EuroHPC-funded project DARE-SGA1. The DARE project will invigorate the continent’s High Performance Computing ecosystem by bringing together the technology producers and consumers, developing a RISC-V ecosystem that supports the current and future computing needs, while at the same time enabling European Digital Autonomy. DARE takes a customer-first approach (HPC Centres & Industry) to guide the full stack research and development.

[ICS-2505] Call for expression of interest for one position of a Biomedical Engineer with expertise on the design of AI-based systems
Description The candidate will participate in the R&D work of FORTH within the FAITH and ENKORE projects. We are looking for a Biomedical Engineer to be part of a multidisciplinary team, designing, developing and assessing the projects’ technical platforms and AI prediction models. • Required qualifications: o Bachelor degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent science degree o Master degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field o Good knowledge of English. • Desired qualifications: o Experience in the domain of medical imaging with imaging techniques; o Experience and knowledge of machine learning applied to medical data; o Experience in the assessment of AI-based systems o Experience with scientific programming and machine learning frameworks. o Good quality scientific writing skills, as proven by publications or other appropriate means

The candidate will participate in the R&D activities of FORTH in the context of the project “SMESEC: Protecting Small and Medium-sized Enterprises digital technology through and innovative cyber-SECurity framework”. In the context of SMESEC project, FORTH, along with the project’s partners, will study and develop security mechanisms for ICT enabled systems. The SMESEC framework will support SMEs and enhance their cybersecurity against cyber-attacks. As such, prior experience in security and systems programming are very important aspects for the position offered.
