Στο πλαίσιο της υλοποίησης νέων αναπτυξιακών έργων πληροφορικής που έχει αναλάβει το Κέντρο Εφαρμογών και Υπηρεσιών Ηλεκτρονικής Υγείας του Ινστιτούτου Πληροφορικής του Ιδρύματος Τεχνολογίας και Έρευνας), το Ινστιτούτο Πληροφορικής του Ιδρύματος Τεχνολογίας και Έρευνας (ΙΠ-ΙΤΕ) προτίθεται να απασχολήσει έκτακτο προσωπικό, μέσω σύναψης σύμβασης εργασίας ιδιωτικού δικαίου ορισμένου χρόνου πλήρους απασχόλησης, και προσκαλεί φυσικά πρόσωπα να εκδηλώσουν το ενδιαφέρον τους για την ανάληψη των σχετικών έργων, σύμφωνα με τους όρους που αναφέρονται στη συνέχεια της παρούσας πρόσκλησης. Το αντικείμενο του έργου του προσωπικού που θα απασχοληθεί στο πλαίσιο της παρούσας Πρόσκλησης παρατίθεται παρακάτω. Έχει την ευθύνη για την μελέτη, ανάπτυξη και τεκμηρίωση του Συστήματος Διαχείρισης Ποιότητας και Περιβαλλοντικής Διαχείρισης του Κέντρου Εφαρμογών και Υπηρεσιών Ηλεκτρονικής Υγείας καθώς και την ευθύνη για τα έγγραφα τεκμηρίωσης του Συστήματος Ποιότητας). • Αποτελεί τον εκπρόσωπο του Κέντρου σε θέματα ποιότητας στις σχέσεις της με τρίτους π.χ. πελάτες, σύμβουλοι, Φορείς Πιστοποίησης, Φορείς Διαπίστευσης κτλ. • Εποπτεύει την εφαρμογή του συστήματος σε όλα τα τμήματα, παρακολουθεί την απόδοσή τους και αναφέρεται σχετικά στον Επικεφαλής του Κέντρου προτείνοντας βελτιώσεις. • Συντονίζει και λαμβάνει μέρος στις επιθεωρήσεις, εποπτεύει και συντονίζει την υλοποίηση διορθωτικών ενεργειών, συμμετέχει στην αξιολόγηση και ανασκόπηση του συστήματος ποιότητας. • Καταγράφει και παρακολουθεί τα παράπονα των πελατών, επεξεργάζεται και συλλέγει ερωτηματολόγια ικανοποίησης πελατών. • Έχει την ευθύνη για την συντήρηση και καταγραφή του Μητρώου Εργαζομένων. • Οργανώνει και διαχειρίζεται το σύστημα καταγραφής προσόντων/ πτυχίων/ πιστοποιήσεων του προσωπικού και αξιολογεί τις ανάγκες για την παρακολούθηση νέων προγραμμάτων κατάρτισης ανά εργαζόμενο. Υλοποιεί τις διαδικασίες αξιολόγησης του προσωπικού, εξασφαλίζοντας την παρακολούθηση τις περιοχές βελτίωσης. • Σχεδιάζει και υλοποιεί τις δράσεις επιμόρφωσης και εκπαίδευσης του προσωπικού. • Διεκπεραιώνει τις απαιτούμενες ενέργειες για την διασφάλιση ενός ομαλού εργασιακού κλίματος.

We seek one (1) experienced project management administrator, with strong organization and time-management skills, to coordinate the day-to-day administrative operations of research projects supported by national and European funding frameworks. The selected candidate will contribute to the organization of R&D activities at FORTH-ICS, in a fulltime (preferred) or part-time capacity, particularly in the context of the EuroHPC JU-funded project NET4EXA. The NET4EXA project aims to create an advanced interconnect, which will scale to hundreds of thousands of computing nodes and will support modern HPC systems that are designed for massive AI tasks, such as the training of Large Language Models. The interconnect forms the backbone of such systems, and their overall performance is intimately tied to the scalability of the network and its tight coupling with the high-end compute elements.

The NET4EXA project aims to create an advanced interconnect, which will scale to tens of thousands of computing nodes and will support modern HPC systems that are designed for massive AI tasks, such as the training of Large Language Models. The interconnect forms the backbone of such systems, and their overall performance is intimately tied to the scalability of the network and its tight coupling with the high-end compute elements. Requirements • MSc Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. • Experience in European Research Projects. • Physical presence at FORTH, Heraklion, Crete for the duration of the position. • Demonstrated familiarity with systems programming, e.g. with parallel or concurrent runtime systems. • Demonstrated familiarity with network simulation approaches and tools, e.g. the GNS3 Network simulator. • Demonstrated familiarity with open source monitoring suites, such as Grafana and Prometheus. • Fluent knowledge of English. • Names of at least three professional references.

Computational Biodiversity is the scientific discipline that focuses on the design of algorithms and models — such as machine learning methods, data science approaches, discrete and numerical algorithms, as well as classical statistical techniques — and on the development of corresponding software and tools for the exploration, analysis, and interpretation of biodiversity data (ecological, genetic, biogeographical, satellite, or sensor data). At the same time, particular emphasis is placed on the analysis and interpretation of real/empirical biodiversity data, in close collaboration with biologists. Overall, Computational Biodiversity aims to facilitate and enhance research in the field of biodiversity.

[ICS-1322] <a id="ICS-1322"></a>Call for expression of interest for two (2) Graduate Student Research Assistantships at the Institute of Computer Science, Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH)

We seek two graduate-level students for our team with a strong background in machine learning and/or statistical analysis. The candidate will participate in our new interdisciplinary project entitled “Dissecting Multi-Neuronal Modules of Computation in the Neocortex” funded by the General Secretariat for Research and Technology (GSRT) and the Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation (HFRI) for the support of postdoctoral researchers at the Institute of Computer Science at FORTH. The main focus of the project is Τhis project has received funding from the Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation (HFRI) and the General Secretariat for Research and Technology (GSRT), under grant agreement No 2285. the identification of the functional networks in the primary visual cortex. For that, we apply various machine learning and statistical analysis algorithms to discover multi-neuronal motifs on data collected in vivo, using 2-photon imaging. Researchers from Harvard Medical School participate actively in this exciting project.

We seek one (1) student enrolled to a University PhD Program R&D member for our team, with background in European Research Projects. The candidates will participate in the R&D activities of FORTH in the context of the project EVΟLVE: HPC and Cloud Enhanced Testbed for Extracting Value from Large-scale Diverse Data. The EVOLVE project is a pan European Innovation Action introducing important elements of High-Performance Computing (HPC) and Cloud in Big Data platforms taking advantage of recent technological advancements to allow existing and emerging applications to keep up with the unprecedented data growth we are experiencing. The EVOLVE aims to build a large-scale testbed by integrating technology from the HPC, Big Data, and Cloud worlds.
