[ICS-1778] Call for expression of interest for one (1) position of a MSc Student in Computer Science at the Institute of Computer Science (ICS), Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH)
The candidate will carry out assisting duties for the project ARTEMIS, funded by the RIPE Network Coordination Center (RIPE NCC), covering general research support. For the project’s technical aspects, he/she is expected to assist is software maintenance tasks, indicatively handling tasks such as overlooking the execution of distributed simulations/emulations, automating processes and assisting in writing reports.

[ICS-1777] Call for expression of interest for one (1) Post‐doctoral research associate, at the Institute of Computer Science, Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH).
We seek one (1) Post‐doctoral research associate for our team, with background in research and development, including European Research projects. The candidate will participate in the R&D activities of FORTH in the context of the project DEEP-SEA: “DEEP – SOFTWARE FOR EXASCALE ARCHITECTURES”. The EuroHPC Research & Innovation project DEEP-SEA started in April 2021 and will last for 3 years. It aims at improving software support for highly heterogeneous systems, which combine different processing units and diverse memory technologies. DEEP-SEA adopts the modular supercomputing architecture (MSA), and considers heterogeneity and performance at both the node level and at the system cluster level. Composability, programmability, portability, malleability, and reliability are targeted with a comprehensive system software and programming environment, which combines traditional models (MPI, OpenMP, OmpSs, GASPI) with higher-level, hardware-agnostic approaches (NabLab, DaCe).
