[ICS-2387] Call for expression of interest for one (1) post doctoral part-time position "Similarity search techniques in large data collections"

The aim is to address the challenges of processing large-scale time series collections that arise from real-world applications. Large-scale time series datasets are now encountered in nearly every scientific and social domain. The person will design and implement a collection of algorithms, data structures, and mechanisms to tackle the scalability problem in the analysis of massive time series data, leveraging modern and emerging hardware technologies. The algorithms, data structures, and mechanisms developed will form a powerful library, thus ensuring their easy and efficient use by a wide range of applications whose performance heavily relies on the effective processing of large-scale time series data.

We seek a highly motivated and experienced member to join our team with a background in the areas of project and technical management. The selected candidate will participate in the Research and development activities of ICS-FORTH in the context of the Horizon Europe project “NextGEM: Next Generation Integrated Sensing and Analytical System for Monitoring and Assessing Radiofrequency Electromagnetic Field Exposure and Health”, funded under Horizon Europe, HORIZON-HLTH-2021-ENVHLTH-02-01-Exposure to electromagnetic fields (EMF) and health. The selected candidate will get involved in the project and technical management of NextGEM and its relevant activities. [ICS-2053] Call for expression of interest for one (1) (ESR) PhD Student in the Institute of Computer Science (ICS) Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH)

The position is a full‐time PhD student position and is funded by the European Commission, under the H2020 Marie Skłodowska‐Curie Doctoral Network program RAICAM. The central scientific goal of RAICAM is to conduct research into the underlying technologies in Robotics and AI that will unlock the capability for a fleet of robots to conduct coordinated sampling campaigns in industrial facilities with varying levels of autonomy. The project will investigate how to undertake robotic sampling using a multi‐disciplinary approach that will fuse fundamental research with systemslevel engineering. The RAICAM Doctoral Network will train the next generation of robotic systems engineers who will develop creative and innovative multi‐disciplinary skills, enhancing their intersectoral mobility.
