For Authors

Publication information

The selected 35 best full papers (up to 10 pages including figures and references) will appear as journal papers in the special issue of the leading international journal The Visual Computer (Impact Factor 1.060) by Springer Verlag publisher, and will be presented orally at the conference. Authors of the highest ranked short papers will be invited to submit an extended version of their work to the Visual Computer; these papers will follow a fast track review process.

The CGI’16 accepted short papers (up to 4 pages including figures and references) will be published by the ACM Digital Library within its ACM International Conference Proceedings Series.

The CGI’16 accepted Posters will be exhibited in the conference area throughout the conference week.

For all accepted full and short papers, at least one author must pay a full conference registration (no student discount is applied). At least one author must present the paper orally at the conference.

Only for posters, student registration is allowed.

Submission

Full & short papers should be uploaded onto the dedicated submission website of EasyChair CGI’16. *** Regarding any supplementary material (e.g. videos etc.) please follow the instructions on the submission page, maximum supplementary material size is 30 MB.***

Full papers: A template for the full paper submission is available for Microsoft Word and Latex. You may include supporting materials (either in PDF or zip file) as part of your submission. Please note that there is a maximum file size of 30 MB per submission. For materials that exceed 30 MB (e.g. like accompanying videos), please provide (anonymous) links in a single PDF file.

Short papers: (maximum 4 pages including figures and references). A template for the short papers is provided here by ACM ICPS.

All papers submitted to CGI’16 will be checked for plagiarism including self-plagiarism. If a paper is found to fall in the category of plagiarism, the paper will be automatically rejected.

Note that the review process is double blind, which requires the paper and all supplemental materials to be anonymous. Ensure that self-referencing is anonymous (refer to your full name rather than “I” or “we”). Avoid providing information that may identify the authors in the acknowledgements (e.g. co-workers and grant IDs) and in the supplemental material (e.g. titles in the movies, or attached papers). Avoid providing links to websites that identify the authors. Violation of any of these guidelines will lead to rejection without review.
