Local Transport and Weather

The conference venue (Iberostar Kipriotis Panorama) is located 3 km from the center of Kos town, in the area “Psalidi”. (see map below)

The International Airport of Kos “Hippocrates” is located 27 km from Kos town.

From the Airport to Kipriotis Panorama:

Taxi: The fastest way to get from the airport to the conference venue is to use a taxi, which can be easily found outside the airport. The journey takes approximately 25 minutes, and the cost should be approximately 25 euros.

Buses: If you travel using Aegean or Olympic airlines, there is a bus that can take you to Kos town. The bus runs three times a day. From Kos town you can take a taxi to the conference venue. There is also a local public transportation service (see below, From Kos Town to Kipriotis Panorama).

From Kos Town to Kipriotis Panorama:

There is a local public transportation service, where buses run regularly to from Kost town approximately every 10 minutes. There is a bus stop on the main road outside the conference venue. A detailed timetable can be found at the bus stops.

Visa and Travel Information

Request for a confirmation letter to obtain a Visa

If needed, authors of accepted papers can ask for a confirmation letter, that can be used to obtain a VISA, from the local organizing committee chair by email.

Please note that to issue a confirmation letter for an author, it is necessary that the author has paid the conference registration fee in full.

Please be aware that the confirmation letter will state only the following facts:
a. Conference title, dates and location.
b. That the requester is an author of an accepted paper.
c. That the requester has paid the required conference registration fee in full.

Kos International Airport "Hippocrates" is the fourth largest airport in Greece, right after the new airport of Athens and the ones in  Thessaloniki and in Crete, and the sixth busiest with daily flights from Athens and numerous direct charter flights from European cities during the summer.
