Margherita Antona holds a PhD from the Department of Electronic Engineering of the University of Kent, UK, in the area of Human-Computer Interaction.
She is member of the Human-Computer Interaction Laboratory and Centre for Universal Access and Assistive Technologies (CUA&AT) of FORTH-ICS since 1993. Currently, she is the Coordinator of CUA&AT.
Her current research interests include universal access, design for all, computer-supported user interface design, adaptive and Intelligent Interfaces, and assistive technologies.
She has participated in several European and national research and development projects, and is member of the Program Committee and Paper Review Committee in various international conferences and workshops.
Prior to 1993, she had been a researcher at the Institute of Computational Linguistics of the Italian National Reasearch Council (CNR) in Pisa, conducting research in the fields of Natural Language Processing and Machine Translation.
