Current Position

I currently work as a Researcher-Analyst at ISL, FORTH-ICS.

Current and Past Projects

I am currently involved in the KP-Lab project (Knowledge Practices Laboratory), which aims at facilitating innovative practices of working with knowledge in education and workplaces, using emerging technologies, such as the Semantic Web. I used to be the leader of the former WP5 “Semantic Web Knowledge Middleware”.

I have been involved in the CASPAR project (Cultural, Artistic and Scientific knowledge for Preservation, Access and Retrieval), which aims at developing techniques for knowledge preservation.

Current Research Interests

My main research interests are the following:

  • Knowledge Representation and Reasoning
  • Belief Revision
  • Ontology Evolution
  • Semantic Web
  • Provenance
  • Digital Preservation

Other Activities

I am a member of the Steering Committee of the International Workshop on Ontology Dynamics (IWOD) series.

I have participated in the organization of the following events:

  • The 1st International Workshop on Ontology Dynamics (IWOD-07), as a co-chair
  • The 2nd International Workshop on Ontology Dynamics (IWOD-08), as a member of the organizing committee
  • The 3rd International Workshop on Ontology Dynamics (IWOD-09), as a member of the organizing committee
  • The 4th International Workshop on Ontology Dynamics (IWOD-10), as a co-chair

In addition, I was a guest editor of the Special Issue on Recent Advances in Ontology Dynamics of the Journal of Logic and Computation (JLC), 19(5), 2009.
