Local Transport and Weather

The conference venue (Iberostar Kipriotis Panorama) is located 3 km from the center of Kos town, in the area “Psalidi”. (see map below)

The International Airport of Kos “Hippocrates” is located 27 km from Kos town.

From the Airport to Kipriotis Panorama:

Taxi: The fastest way to get from the airport to the conference venue is to use a taxi, which can be easily found outside the airport. The journey takes approximately 25 minutes, and the cost should be approximately 25 euros.

Buses: If you travel using Aegean or Olympic airlines, there is a bus that can take you to Kos town. The bus runs three times a day. From Kos town you can take a taxi to the conference venue. There is also a local public transportation service (see below, From Kos Town to Kipriotis Panorama).

From Kos Town to Kipriotis Panorama:

There is a local public transportation service, where buses run regularly to from Kost town approximately every 10 minutes. There is a bus stop on the main road outside the conference venue. A detailed timetable can be found at the bus stops.

We have secured the following special room rates for IEEE WoWMoM 2009 participants:

The above room rates:
a) Are net, commission free and include all legal tax and service charges.
b) Are valid per room per overnight.
c) Are on Bed and Breakfast basis valid for the dates of the Conference, 15-19 June 2009 and include American Buffet Breakfast.
d) Are valid only for minimum one (1) overnight (between 15-19/6/09).
e) The Pre & Post stays are on Bed and Breakfast basis valid for the weekends before and after the dates of the Conference and include American Buffet Breakfast.

Room Cancellation Policy:
a) In order to confirm the reservation to the participants the hotel will request a deposit of at least 2 overnights.
b) In case of cancellation 14 days prior to the arrival date the hotel will return the deposit to the participant
c) For any cancellation received with less than 14 days notice the hotel has the right to hold the deposit.
d) In case of non shows, the Hotel will charge the participant according to the confirmed reservation.
