mathesis workpackages
  • WP1 - Project Management
  • It includes and implements all management activities (financial and administrative actions, technical management, etc.).

  • WP2 - Brain Mechanisms
  • This workpackage contains all RTD activities aiming to elucidate the network of primate cortical brain areas and some of the signals representing action execution, action observation and action recall, and to analyze the extent of overlap between them.

  • WP3 - Developmental Aspects
  • This workpackage focuses on RTD activities related to human agents executing, observing and recalling actions, with emphasis on the elucidation of the developmental stages at which observational learning and mental training can be used efficiently in children.

  • WP4 - Computational Models
  • This workpackage contains all RTD activities focusing on extracting basic principles of the acquisition of action repertories to formulate computational and cognitive models of action execution, action observation, and action recall. It will allow us to develop the conceptual architecture defined in the two previous workpackages, that will then be instantiated in the embodied cognitive agents.

  • WP5 - Embodied Cognitive Agents
  • This workpackage contains all RTD activities needed to implement the conceptual architecture, defined in the previous WPs, into concrete robotic and software agents for testing and assessing its component modules, as well as its overall architecture. The work in this WP will allow us to elaborate the theoretical models into real working systems.

  • WP6 - Assessment
  • The last workpackage focuses on the evaluation of the performance of the embodied cognitive agents,by evaluating key aspects of their architecture, such as generality, performance, accuracy, scalability, robustness and other application-independent aspects.
