Christos Georgis is an R & D engineer in the Information Systems Laboratory of the Institute of Computer Science, FORTH.

He holds a Master of Science in System Architecture and a degree in Computer Science from University of Crete.

His main interests include information systems, conceptual modeling and cultural informatics, document management system design and interlingual thesauri.

His is the development coordinator for the two systems developed in the Laboratory: the Semantic Index System (SIS), a versatile, semantic network information management system, especially suited for unlimited runtime metamodelling; and the Thesaurus Management System (SIS-TMS), an ISO-compliant, SIS-based system for the development and management of multilingual thesauruses and terminology servers.
