Distributed Computing Systems Lab: Positions in Network Security

FORTH, Crete, Greece

The Distributed Computing Systems Lab is seeking people for the implementation of the FORWARD (http://www.ict-forward.org), NoAH (http://www.fp6-noah.org) and WOMBAT Network Security Research projects.

Research Scientists:
Successful candidates must have a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and have performed noteworthy research in network security and computer systems, and a proven record in developing systems software for systems-building research projects. Outstanding candidates will be considered for tenure track research positions at FORTH-ICS Research.

Assistants:
Successful candidate should hold a Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, with a strong background in network systems and computer systems. Must posses excellent research skills and the wherewithal to tackle difficult, systems-building projects. Must be a self-motivated, quick learner with the ability and interest to rapidly absorb new technologies. The position can be combined with graduate studies in the Computer Science Department at the University of Crete.
