Participation in Research Projects

• REACTION - Remote Accessibility to Diabetes Management and Therapy in Operational Healthcare Networks, (7th Framework Programm R&D project).
• EHR-IMPLEMENT - National policies for Implementation of Electronic Health Record (EHR) in the European area: social and oranizational issues, (HI 2006-eHealth), (Scientific Co-coordinator on behalf of the Information Systems Laboratory).
• Rural Wings - Development of an advanced learning platform through satellite DVB-RCS access technologies, promoting a user-centred methodological approach which constitutes its major innovation. (FP6-SIP4-2005-516161).
• HEALTHWARE - Standard and Interoperable satellite solution to deploy Healthcare services over wide areas, (IP-SIP4-CT-2004-516171).

Short CV

Dimitris Manousos earned a B.Sc. degree in Applied Informatics and Multimedia from Techological Educational Institute of Crete. Since 2007, he is working as a technical staff at the Computational Medicine Laboratory of the Institute of Computer Science, Foundation for Research and Technology - Hellas (FORTH-ICS). His current interests include web development (JSP, JSF, Spring, Hibernate), Model Driven Architecture development (AndroMDA framework), CMS management (Joomla, Wiki, Moodle, Wordpress etc.), application development (Java), microcontroller programming (Arduino) and smartphone development (Android).
