XSTAT Performance monitoring tool for local networks

Xstat (normal size), a project carried out at the Architectute and VLSI Systems group , and Parallel and Distributed Systems group of ICS-FORTH, aims to monitor certain resources of distributed systems, such as main memory, cpu, network e.t.c. Knowing the state of these resources is a matter of crusial importance for the arising research and application projects carried out in FORTH.

As our example shows, we monitor 3 machines which construct the local network net1. For each one of these we monitor the cpu load and the free memory. We also monitor the load of the ethernet which interconnects these hosts.
