ERCIM News, Special Issue on BMI
The WG chairs have been editors of the January 2005 ERCIM news Special issue devoted to BMI.

1^st Workshop, May 24^th 2004, Heraklion, Greece.
An initial workshop has been organized during the ERCIM meetings held in Heraklion, Crete, Greece, on May 24^th, 2004. The workshop focused on the discussion of current state of the art developments in the area of Biomedical Informatics and proceeded with the preparation of the proposal to the ERCIM BoD for the creation of a Working Group in the domain of Biomedical Informatics.
