Short CV

Dr. George Potamias is a Principal Researcher at the Institute of Computer Science of FORTH (Foundation for Research & Technology - Hellas) being a member of the Bioinformatics and Computational Medicine Labs (former Bioinformatics Lab). For a number of years he was adjunct professor at the Dept. of Computer Science, University of Crete, and at the Dept. of Production Engineering, Technical University of Chania, Crete, Greece. He is also (currently) an adjunct Lecturer at the Dept. of Economics, University of Patras, Patras, Greece. He is conducting research in the field of Bioinformatics, Biomedical Informatics and Computational Medicine, with a special focus on machine learning, data mining and data-integartion methodologies for over 19 years. He is credited over 80 publications (books, journals, conferences). Dr. Potamias has contributed to several R&D projects. He is an affiliate member of IEEE.
